Information for the practicals
Walk out with a personal, hand made gift for someone.
Make something with your own hands.
Learn new tools and techniques.
Feel proud of doing something arty and out of your usual field.

Absolutely none. You don’t need to have ever picked up a paint brush or even looked at a painting to attend.

All ages welcome, Nat has involved kiddos and grandparents alike (and learned from them too!). All hims, hers and theys welcome – this will be an inclusive and creative space. Introverts and all personalities welcome, it will be a small group and there will be lots to do and look at.
The run through on the night
We’ll start off with some words, drinks and nibbles. We’ll learn about some art 101’s –  brushes, inks, papers, florals. We’ll practice some lines, shapes and placements. Then we will turn these age old goodies into modern looks.
We’ll step up into turning these elements into florals, where you can follow along with me or take your own direction.

About the artist
Hi, I’m Nat. I live in South Cronulla and have been creating images in any way I could for most of my life – painting, drawing, photography, science illustrations, signs and invitations, you name it. The ones I consistently return to are inks and oil paints - their fluidity is magic for building a good creative energy and letting you breathe. I paint to pause and to appreciate, and I paint for the sake of painting. I am drawn to the intrinsic way that connecting your brain, your hand, and your brush to the paper creates a sense of mindfulness and communication. Join me as I show my process and guide the natural flow of the inks.

$59 per person - this include all materials including paper, inks, brushes, reference materials, food and drink.
